The Home Stretch

This is the FINAL 48 hours and home stretch of the DC20 Kickstarter! I have been scrambling HARD for yall and been in talks with a lot of BIG names in the TTRPG space (as you can see with these new Stretch Goals). The WILD and unexpected success of DC20 has given us some attention and opportunities that never would have been available. So are these Stretch Goals late? Yes... BUT we would never have even had this opportunity in the first place if yall didn't support DC20 on day 1. So you all created this opportunity for us to add some NEXT LEVEL Rewards for both Backers and the DC20 community.

Stretch Goal Breakdown

I will give some more info on each one and then post the image from the Kickstarter to show you all here in one place, ! All of these Stretch Goals will be set much closer to each other and there will be no more BIG jumps between them. This is all SO exciting and I cant wait to see what these last 48 hours will get us to!

Mass VTT Integration + dScryb Bonus Reward

This has 2 parts: 

• First dScryb is throwing their hat into the ring by giving everyone a FREE 90 day Trial to ALL Backers! Also this is funds that will be spent direct
• Second is this is direct funding for ALL VTT development. I have already committed to bringing DC20 into ALL VTTs and this would just speed that process up across all 5 of them. DC20 + Alchemy VTT

This is a BIG and quickly growing VTT that I have LOVED the more I learn about it. The amount of features this VTT has is truly something special. This Stretch Goal gets you access to Alchemy for FREE to jump on and try it out! You will be able to play with the 0.8 Beta Rules and play the One Shot of "The Hunted" ALL for FREE. DC20 + Foundry

The VTT Avalanche CONTINUES! I will be partnering with Baileywiki to bring DC20 to Foundry! If you don't know, Baileywiki is one of (if not the TOP) creator on Foundry and will be joining the DC20 team to FULLY integrate DC20 and ALL of its parts into Foundry. You can find Baileywiki on YouTube as he documents the entire development process! 

Foundry will also have a FREE version available to the public to get their hands dirty with the system, then the rest will be paid content... BUT again... for all $95 Tier Backers, you will get EVERYTHING Foundry has to offer for FREE!!! A truly INSANE value!

DC20 + Demiplane

Yes, that's right we have the chance to be added into Demiplane... the NUMBER ONE Digital Character Creation Tool there is! WILD! DC20 - 1.7M Stretch Goal + Future Ancestry and Digital VTT Goals

Yall are KILLIN IT! We were going STRONG and not slowing down at ALL for WAY longer than we "should" have, and that just shows how much love and support you and all the new backers have been giving DC20, so thank you again for that! The ONLY slow down has now been from all the announcements about D&D 2024, which is understandable as the internet is now flooded with it. BUT I still see us finishing STRONG here and hitting that next Stretch Goal, but I'll get into those in a second! There is SO much to update yall on!

Beta 0.8 Weapons Rework Annoucement

I just posted a video on a sneak peek of what 0.8 has in store and everyone is SO EXCITED about what is has to offer AND about what big updates are in store for DC20! 

Ancestry Reveal Livestream

I have been compiling more Kickstarter Related Questions and I have a LOT of new answers and developments that I want to share. I will of course make more Update Posts here on Kickstarter, but these are a great way to talk to everyone and make sure yall are as up to date as possible!

New FREE Downloads Site on DC20.com

I just released a NEW section of the site that was just finished being developed! It is basically a "one stop shop" to download FREE DC20 PDFs. Currently the only thing available is the Free Playtest Rules Preview, but NOW it is easier to share around and link to your friends and other parts of the community! 

This is also where the FREE Adventure PDF will be once the Kickstarter Closes!

1.7 Million Stretch Goal!

I LOVE that we hit this! I want to make this Adventure ICONIC and also something that is super simple to run. It will be structured like a "tutorial" in some parts and be able to SHOW players the mechanics naturally as the stroy progresses, so you can truly LEARN DC20 while PLAYING! This Stetch Goal lets us expand and pour more into this and really make it something BIG. I also see this as being the Starter "Box Set" at some point in the future! 

2 Million Stretch Goal: Ancestries

I cant wait to showcase these tonight and share some of the lore of DC20 as well! BUT the BEST part of adding FOUR more Ancestries is the HUGE amount of customization this offers up to DC20 as a whole. With how the Ancestry System works, just adding these 4 will open up more options for ALL Characters!

Future Stretch Goal: Dedicated Digital Development

This one might be the communities biggest request, and I have been working REALLY hard to start to set up all of this to be possible! Either way, DC20 will 100% be supporting online play in every way possible... even if we do not hit this stretch goal... BUT... if we DO hit this goal I will be taking a LARGE portion of the Kickstarter funds and POUR it into accelerating this process by A LOT. I want DC20 to be in ALL VTTs, not just Foundry, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds... but places like Owl Bear Rodeo, Tabletop Simulator, Alchemy RPG, and more! I will be able to add a NEW division to the DC20 Team... the Digital Development Team!!! Truly exciting stuff yall!

DC20 - Broke 1 Million + NEW Stretch Goals

DC20 is BIG

You all have really turned DC20 into something BIG! I have been flooded with interest and requests (both from individuals and companies) to become a part of DC20. I can't speak on a lot of this yet because things need to be discussed first... BUT... I just know that DC20 is going to have a BIG and BRIGHT future thanks to all of you who already backed and made this happen... and we still have 18 days to go! CRAZY!!

There is so much happening behind the scenes that I cannot wait to share with yall! More Updates to come!!

Stretch Goals

The other WILD thing about this is we are still growing about 50k per DAY... STILL!!! So yall have once again destroyed multiple stretch goals since the last update!

PC & GM Cheat Sheets

These will be HUGE for both Players and GM's (especially new ones). For Players, these will be printable hand outs to help them have more efficient turns. For GM's, these will be 4 pages you can either print out for quick reference or even put on the back of your GM Screen.

Iconic Pre-Generated Characters

This is MUCH more than what it might seem, and I am SO excited about this one! In fact here is a list of what is actually coming in this Stretch Goal. There will be 13 Characters (1 of each class), each be a different ancestry (not repeating those either), and each will get the following:

• Level 1 Pre-Gen Character Sheet
• Level 3 Pre-Gen Character Sheet
• Custom Art for that character
• Unique Choice of Primary Attribute to showcase the DC20 Character Creation System
• Unique Backstory (that fits for a level 1)
• Unique connections to the WOLD (Campaign Setting) of DC20

PDF Collection Upgrades x2

Yall upgraded these PDFs AGAIN and will now get even more content from these PDF addons. Here are the TOTALS now that you have gotten to after unlocking TWO upgrades. These were the numbers I was hoping to get the funding for and yall did it, that means 100 monsters (between both PDFs) and 100 Magic items!

• One Shot Collection = 7 One Shots (and some of these might be "Two or Three - Shots")
• Monster Starter Pack = 30 Monsters 
• Monster Collection = 70 Monsters
• Magic Item Collection = 100 Magic Items

NEXT Stretch Goal

I have been reading literally thousands of comments across everything and the biggest thing I saw that was a need from this RAPIDLY growing community… is a FREE ONE SHOT! So I talked with my team and we decided we could commit to this and get this done for yall! So I inserted another stretch goal DIRECTLY after the 1.3M stretch goal! This will unlock a FREE one shot for the ENTIRE COMMUNITY!!! This will also include the first appearance of DC20 Monster Stat Blocks as well! AND our goal is to release this right when the KS closes! You all have been amazing and this is so Insane… so I have been constantly thinking of ways I could give more and thank you all more!

THIS IS CRAZY!

I am still wrapping my head around over 5 thousand people... and over $500,000 funding in LESS THAN 24 hours... absolutely INSANE! I thought I would be sitting bake making posts every few days when we unlock a Stretch Goal... but yall DESTROYED 4 (almost 5 as I am writing this). So it has been WILD... but I can not express the gratitude I have for ALL of you... yup... tearing up now as I type this... 
Some of yall know what has gone into this project, the time, commitment, sacrifice... and I will make a video about this journey once the Kickstarter ends... BUT just know that yall have impacted and set a trajectory for DC20... that will be unlike ANYTHING we could have ever hoped or imagined! So truly... thank you from the bottom of my heart... thank you!

You all have been plowing through Stretch Goals like CRAZY! We unlocked a FREE Monster Guide, FREE 5e -> DC20 Conversion Guide, the SPELLBLADE Class for EVERYONE! Now yall are continuing to add more content on what DC20 has to offer and I am SUPER excited for what else we are going to be able to add to DC20 thanks to YOUR support! 

DC20 Kickstarter Q&A Livestream #1

I did a Kickstarter Livestream Q&A yesterday and answered a LOT of the BIGGEST questions yall had. I have gone through and read ALL 400+ comments and compiled ALL of the questions. I have a link below to the Livestream, at the very START I go right into the questions and answer them (with timestamps on the video so you can skip right to them). 

Here are the questions I answer, but if you want the FULL answers please watch the video below!

• Shipping Being INCORRECTLY Charged 
  • I created NEW Tiers that you can now switch to and NOT be charged shipping! (video on that at the bottom of this update)
• Shipping Prices
  • Due to the overwhelming support and number of backers, I talked with my shipping people and we can now use THREE Shipping Hubs to ship from! This will be good for everyone on shipping prices, BUT for Europe, this was a BIG change and Europe has now been changed from $50 -> $35.
• Early Backer Rewards
  • End Date: June 7th @ 10:59am CST
• VTT Support
  • Yes we will be, we have people working on it, and with more support we can continue to push the VTT support even further!
• Use of AI Art
  • NO we will be ZERO use of AI Art in any DC20 content on Kickstarer, Website, or Patreon!

How to FIX Shipping (for Backers who got Physical Products ONLY)

This is a video walkthrough of HOW to fix your Reward Tier. There are HUNDREDS of people who are still being charged for shipping. If you backed in the first 5 hours, you need to CHANGE your Reward Tier to the NEW ones or you are going to get DOULBE charged for Shipping! The SAME is true for Physical ADDONS, if you got any of those in the first 5 hours, you need to manage pledge (like in the video) and pick up the addons that DONT charge for shipping. The Video here explains exactly how to change Tiers, and it only takes 30 seconds!

I am BLOWN AWAY by the response, love, and support of DC20... I truly do not know what else to say but THANK YOU! This is INSANE! You all are really turning this into something BIG and I can't wait to see where we end up!

Speaking of insane... there was a BIG error on Shipping that I want to clear up now!

Shipping Issue

So during all of this whirlwind as soon as I got off the Livestream Launch Party for DC20... I realized there has been a HUGE problem for shipping! As you can see on the ENTIRE Kickstarter Page, it says on ALL the Reward tiers "Shipping will be charged after the KS through Backerkit" and in the shipping section on the Kickstater, it says that shipping will NOT be charged until closer to the printing and shipping date of the books. 

The Problem: It is 100% my mistake, when I filled out the Reward Tiers and Addons... there was a box for "what is the shipping cost" and I just simply filled in what the Shipping cost WOULD be in the FUTURE... I did NOT think that it would charge that BEFORE. I should have put 0 in those boxes (I have learned that now).

The Solution: I have created NEW Tiers for ALL of the Reward Tiers that had Physical Products (Hardcover, Core Set, Deluxe Set, Deluxe Group Bundle, Legendary Set). Those are the OLD tiers and those are the ones that are incorrectly charging for shipping and have now been removed. The NEW Reward Tiers just have the name DC20 in front of it and are now called:

• DC20 Hardcover
• DC20 Core Set
• DC20 Deluxe Set
• DC20 Deluxe Group Bundle
• DC20 Legendary Set

What Do YOU Need to Do?

If you backed any of the physical product tiers, or got any of the physical product addons, you just need to go into Kickstarter and SWITCH TIERS to the NEW Tier (or new addon).
(New Tiers are the ones that say DC20 and have an image on them)

If you backed the PDF or Digital Only Tier... you don't have to do anything, since there is no shipping on those Tiers.

You will only be charged for your Reward Tier once the Kickstarter ENDS on July 1st, so just make sure you switch over BEFORE then and you will NOT be charged for shipping.

You will be charged for Shipping through Backerkit closer to the actual shipping date (estimated late 2025)

All of the Reward Tiers that incorrectly had shipping on them have been removed, so just join the new tier and you will NOT be charged shipping once the Kickstarter Closes.

IM SORRY

I hate that I messed this up on the launch of DC20... and caused extra stress or confusion for anyone! BUT no worries, I will have another update going out tonight (after the DC20 Livestream) and have a CELEBRATION Update!
